We Hate Your Site web

A one-day visual refresh of a Wordpress community in alpha.
The direction? “We want it to look cool, something designers would use.” My retort, “I can do that. Can we use your Twitter feed too?” I wanted to keep it monotone but distinctive (thus, brown and yellow) so that the screen shots of the websites would be the focus. After all, We Hate Your Site is about site critique, less about the web site itself.

I think the refresh is a step in the right direction.
I wanted the logo to have a heart in it because the site’s ultimately not about hating — rather, it’s about learning from web sites that need some improvement, some re-direction, some love. And in case you’re wondering, yes, the font in the logo is Gotham.
