construction of a sonic party 3/7

A few weeks ago, two of my friends got married and Sara asked me to bring some music along for the reception, stuff to dance to, you know. So I filled an old iPod with a bunch of music, ranging from hip-hop to more electro dance stuff and then some mash-up stuff.
During the course of the evening, I found that one of Jay’s friends from San Francisco had also brought along some music — mostly 80s stuff. We took turns playing music and I have to admit that I am not a fan of the hit music from that era, Emily did make me rethink about the importance of familiar music to bring people together on a dance floor.
And so here’s a mix of 80s music (and then some) that I would’ve jammed. Yes, INXS is on there twice. Deal with it.
